Race Reports - Porsche Club series
Despite work commitments I managed to do a full season again this year, and full race reports are posted here. The series presents some very close racing, with tight regulation and classes based on modified power to weight ratios. Race Reports - Northern Sports and Saloon Car Championship
The NSSCC is a race series based around the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire and organised by the Darlington & District Motor Club. The series, which is open to pretty much any type of car attracts good fields of competitors. Technical regulations are few and it gives a good chance to compete against cars of very different characteristics. 2000 was good to me in the NSSCC, as I ended the season as class D champion.
For 2001 I could only manage to take part in 5 rounds of the championship. I did actually attend another at Cadwell Park, after competing in the Classic race at Donnington in the morning. The problem was the delays at Donnington and slow traffic into Lincolnshire meant I was just too late for the administrative procedures. Even so Imanaged to come a creditible 4th in Class and rounded off the season at the D&DMC Annual Awards Evening by being selected to receive the John Blades Trophy for the Most Outstanding Northern Driver in 2001.

Race Reports - Porsche Open
The Porsche Open is a series orgainised by the Porsche Club GB, and is "open", hence its name, to Porsche of any type or description without technical restriction. It therefore is the place to see the more exotic and modified Porsche eg 935 and supercharged 964s etc. Where rounds of the Open and Classic coincide, I often take part, just for fun. There are 4 classes, based on simple power to weight ratios, which also reflect the degree of modification from standard.
