This is the car I bought when I needed a car to copy from when building my 924 Carrera GT race car.

The car is in excellent condition inside and out , is mechanically sound & comes with history including the original invoice on delivery. It is 1 of the 9 cars Porsche sold in Belgium.

Road registered & MOT'd in the UK

I bought the car in 1991 with 68,000 miles and full Porsche service history from new. There had never been any accident damage so it was an excellent candidate to be converted to a race car. I campaigned the car intermittently in 1992 and 1993, followed by an almost full season in the 1994 Porsche series. At the time the series was being televised by Eurosport, and I have a tape of the race at Pembrey that year.

The car has a safety devices roll cage, perspex windows, Leda front struts, Willans harness and is eligible for the Porsche Classic series yet be easily be converted to race in the Lodge 924 series. The shell is excellent and when I took the car out at Croft recently it still ran well. All parts are available to restore the car to road/trackday specification.

Asking price is £4,495 though I am open to offers. If you maybe only want to dip your toes in the water and try the car or yourself out for a couple of races I may be able to arrange a professional race support or rent-a drive package for you.

Based on a LHD 1979 Mk 1 turbo. The car was converted to a GT replica about 10 years ago by a Porsche specialist, I stress using genuine parts.

The front PU is no longer available and a new one used to cost over £2,500 !

This is one of the 60 French Carrera GTs. It has done about 113,000 KMs and is in excellent condition. Normally garaged. 1977/8 S reg porsche 924, it is a 2.0 but I have been told by previous owner that it has a VW 2.2 and 5 speed box fitted, this was done prior to him buying it and he has owned it since 1983. It has 96k on the clock and is in pretty good shape, it does however need some tlc as it has been off the road since 1989. The reason for this was because he couldn't afford the insurance but is the kind of person who puts things in the garage and forgets about it for years. I bought it 2 years ago with the intention of restoring it and using it, however a combination of over work and now losing the use of the garage I have it stored it in means I have to sell it.
What it needs as far as I can see is brakes as the rear nearside cylinder is leaking, fuel lines as it leaks fuel from the region of the fuel pumps, and either a repair to the nearside wing due to corrosion or a replacement, and finally the starter is stuck (I will try and free it off ) When it runs it runs really well considering the dropped fuel pressure due to the leak and the fact it has been off the road for the past 15 years.

I bought this car in 1997 from an American who had brought the car over from Oregon in the USA. The car is still registered in the US and therefore has Oregon licence plates and is also a left hand drive. The previous owner who brought the car over had the car fully restored and built for racing, however it was never actually raced on the track and when he moved to the UK he simply used it for day to day use. The racing features are:
- Racing "bucket" seat on the driver side (passenger seat is normal seat)
- Racing harness for driver (passenger seat has normal seatbelt)
- Roll bar
- Supertrapp exhaust system
- Fuchs wheels
- Lowered suspension

The car is in very good condition all around. From the photos you can see that the bodywork is in great shape with only normal wear & tear since it "refurb". The interior is likewise in very good condition.

The engine works like a dream. Since I only use it very occasionally it does not get started very frequently, however I have never once had a problem doing so. When you drive the car it runs superbly and responds like a true racing car...I can only say that if you appreciate cars then this is a drive to behold.

What if anything has or could potentially be wrong with the car...I dont want to waste your time so here are the full facts...warts & all:
The electrics on occasion seem to play up. This has come to my attention from the fact that sometimes the left and right indicators do not work properly and sometimes when I take a sharp right turn the hooter beeps. I suspect that this is simply loose wiring somewhere but I have not had the opportunity to get it sorted.
There is a small hole in the floor on the drivers side...once again I have not bothered to get this fixed as it has not been an issue and it has not needed any immediate action

Porsche 924 Turbo (931) engine

I have available a 924 turbo engine from a series 1 car.

The engine is virtually complete with all the ancilliaries and when last run had good oil pressure and ran well sounding very sweet. The engine is already removed from the car so that should make it easy to swap over if your motor is a little tired.
